Earliest political memory #101

I must have been 5 or 6 years old, and a communist aunt used to take me with her on the communist youth festivals in Athens. I remember those pleasantly, with music, food and several activities. there was a huge panel for drawing and writing slogans, with red paint and paintbrushes. I remember painting for quite some while and wondering why there’s only red paint there. I remember asking “where are the other colours”, complaining about being bored of only drawing with red.
